What STYLA is
STYLA is a fashion inspiration feed for teens: a scrollable gallery of outfit photos posted by a small, hand-approved group of creators. Items in a photo can be tapped to see where they’re from — the link opens the retailer’s own website. STYLA sells nothing, has no checkout, and never handles payment details.
How it’s different by design
- No direct messages. There is no way for anyone — adult or teen — to privately contact your teen through STYLA. There are no comments either.
- No checkout. Nothing can be bought in the app. Shopping links lead out to ordinary retail websites.
- Every post is reviewed before it’s published. Content goes live only after moderation, not the other way around. Posts with contact info (social handles, phone numbers), swimwear or underwear, or anything mean or dangerous are not published.
- Posting is invite-only. Browsing is open, but only creators we’ve individually approved can post.
- Minimal data. We store a chosen username, a cartoon avatar, and an age group — never a birthday, real name, school, location, or contact list. Photo location data is stripped automatically. Details are in our privacy policy.
Reporting and reaching a human
Every post and profile has a report button, and every report is read by a person. If you’d rather talk to us directly — about a piece of content, your teen’s account, or to have an account deleted — email us via the support page. A real human reads and answers those messages; account deletion requests from a parent or guardian are honored.
